The Health Insurance Marketplace offers options for people to get health insurance who can’t get it through a job, Medicare, Medicaid or another qualifying source. The Marketplace has a variety of private health insurance policies you can pick from. What you pay depends on your income. Most people will qualify for a new monthly tax credit (Advanced Premium Tax Credit) that will lower your monthly payments right away. In addition, some people will qualify for help paying their co-pays and deductibles. Last year, 86% of West Virginians qualified for immediate savings.
He reminded viewers that it a a federal law that you must have health insurance.
