Highland Hospital is proud to support the annual McGala benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston, WV.
This year’s McGala is scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites.
Theme this year is ‘Under The Big Top’. Sponsorships are available.
The Ronald McDonald House is in the process of building a new home close to CAMC Women & Children Hospital on Pennsylvania Avenue in Charleston.
Proceeds from the event will assist in furnishings for the new house.
The Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia is open to all families regardless of financial status or ability to pay. The House is available for overnight stay, a short nap or a shower during a day visit. They serve the guests and patients of all area hospitals, including Highland Hospital.
Guests are asked to pay a nominal donation to offset operating costs. The fee is often reduced or waived. No one is turned away because of their inability to pay.
The majority of operating funds, however, come from the generosity of others. About 70 percent of the funds necessary to operate the House come from the contributions of foundations, corporations and individuals in our community. Through the continued support of our “Very Important Friends,” they are able to serve more than 400 families every year.
