Ambulatory Care Assistants (Process Strategies)
Performs various duties related to patient care and treatment as directed by providers in an outpatient setting. Provides clerical and clinical support to staff in the outpatient center. Provides support to patients and the practice in a variety of ways, including triage, registration, navigation, and indirect and direct clinical support. Graduate of a medical assistant program. Certification as a Medical Assistant from an approved program required. One year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.
Billing Specialists, PRN
Reviews and determines accuracy of demographics, insurance and billing data and updates as needed; Manages patient accounts; Monitors accounts receivable balances; Posts payments to patient accounts; Follows up on any outstanding account balances and resolves any issues immediately to ensure prompt payment; Maintains patient billing files; Ensures that certified coding specialists have audited patient billing record against clinical record before billing, and maintains supporting documentation of audit in the patient’s billing file. High school diploma or equivalent; experience in medical/psychiatric billing and Accounts Receivable follow-up required; CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS coding experience preferred; typing skills of 40 wpm.
Data Entry Clerk, PRN
Keys Professional services, pharmacy, and room & board charges into billing system. Posts payments to patient accounts. Obtains payer authorizations. Provides clerical support to billing staff and accounts receivable manager. High school diploma or equivalent. Six-twelve months data entry experience. Experience working in a health care environment. Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, and Medical terminology a plus.
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
Works under a qualified professional nurse; Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing caret; Cooperates with the members of the nursing and medical staff and other hospital departments. Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Registered Nurses (RNs)
Works with a treatment team to assess and provide services to individuals with a psychiatric diagnosis; Administers medications and follows all physician’s orders in accordance with established hospital and licensing agency protocol; Provides education/explanation to patients, families, and co-workers regarding medication usage/maintenance, side effects, patients’ rights, as well as other topics necessary for optimal patient care. Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred; knowledge of and experience with psychotropic medications.
