We interviewed Jeremy Smith, Navigator, WV NaviCare.
WV NaviCare is your source to help you enroll in a health care insurance plan. The Health Insurance Marketplace offers options for people to get health insurance who can’t get it through a job, Medicare, Medicaid or another qualifying source. The Marketplace has a variety of private health insurance policies you can pick from. What you pay depends on your income. Most people will qualify for a new monthly tax credit (Advanced Premium Tax Credit) that will lower your monthly payments right away. In addition, some people will qualify for help paying their co-pays and deductibles. Last year, 86% of West Virginians qualified for immediate savings.
WV NaviCare offers free enrollment help! If you have questions or need assistance call us at 1-844-WV-CARES.
