The staff at Highland understands mental health issues, which is why we are devoted to educating the community on signs and symptoms of mental illness, services and accessing the treatment. Our community education department provides training to various groups without the state of West Virginia. The unknowing of what a family member is going through or the turmoil a loved one is experiencing, can be frightening. The uncertainty is what makes the experience so fearful. Psychiatric illness is just that – an illness, that is treatable. We want family members, employers, colleagues, judges, attorneys, and elected officials to have knowledge of disorders treatments available and how to access it.
