Opening for a Child/Adolescent Staff Psychiatrist in Charleston, West Virginia
Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of child and adolescent patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders; the organization of data concerning patient's family, medical history and onset of symptons; the comprehensive evaluation of all new admissions; and the examination of patients to determine general physical condition, following standard medical procedure. Other duties include: ordering laboratory and other special diagnostic tests and evaluating data obtained; determining nature and extent of mental disorder, and formulating treatment program; treating or directing treatment of patient, utilizing variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications; evaluating and monitoring the progress of patients.
Minimum Job Requirements: Medical degree or foreign equivalent, completion of general psychiatry residency training program (3 years), completion of child/adolescent psychiatry accredited fellowship training program (2 years); and West Virginia Medical License.
