| Substance Abuse Program | |||
| Highland's Substance Abuse Program meets the needs of youths and adults who have additions to drugs or alcohol. Substance abuse and chemical dependency pervades every aspect of our lives. Recognizing that addiction is a chronic, progressive and treatable disease, rather than a character flaw, is the first step toward recovery at Highland. | Youth Partial Program | |||
| This is a day program for children, ages 5-17. The Partial Program maintains the belief that the most responsible and therapeutic treatment option is the least restrictive of car that will safely meet the needs of each student. The program provides short or immediate term, goal-directed clinical services. This treatment modality serves to intervene, early and intensively, to increase an individual's level of independent functioning and to minimize the need for a more restrictive level of treatment. | |||
| Adult Partial Program | |||
| This program provides an option to bridge the gap between psychiatric inpatient treatment and the typical once-a-week outpatient therapy. It is our hope that this program will prevent inpatient hospitalization. The primary goal is to allow patients the least restrictive treatment, while ensuring the psychiatric needs are met. It also allows for a more rapid discharge from an inpatient setting, but provides the structure, education, and therapy needed to resolve the acute distress. 926.1610 | |||
